RecommendedA unique island cultural experience program on the tropical island. Take photos with local entertainers! Learn how to eat and use coconuts and try making palm leaf crafts with fresh flowers as well. This is an enriching program where you can put on a cute pareo or haka warrior costume and take selfies with the jungle backdrop of the garden restaurant. This is a 90-minute cultural experience program. In the coconut experience, you will learn various uses of coconuts, then squeeze the pulp shaved from the coconut fruit to extract fresh coconut milk. For the costume shoot, three to five beautiful outfits from the pacific islands are available including shell necklaces and other decorative items as well. Costume photoshoots will be held in a tropical garden backdrop surrounded by waterfalls and tropical plants. Guests are free to take photos with their own cell phones or cameras; no photos will be taken for sale. If you do not need a pick-up service, we will give you a discount equivalent to the cost of the pick-up service. Cultural Experience (90 min.)
After being welcomed with ukulele music and island dancing, the culture experience program begins with a demonstration of wild coconut cracking using a large machete. After tasting the fresh coconut juice and pulp, guests will experience how to extract coconut milk by scraping the pulp from the coconut. Guests get to taste really fresh coconut pulp. With the fresh coconut milk ready, it's time for a coffee break with the chef's special treats! The coffee is flavored with freshly squeezed coconut milk. Then guests will finally have a costume photo session. Choose the style of costume. The photos can be taken in the tropical garden with a waterfall, lagoon, and tropical plants. Guests are free to take their own pictures with cell phones or cameras. The entertainers will be happy to assist you and teach you how to pose for pictures in Guam style. Children also are provided with pareo. Children can participate in the photoshoot with their families, or they can learn to play an island musical instrument with the entertainers. The interaction with the entertainers, who are kind-hearted and welcoming, is an unforgettable experience that is unique to the island of Guam.
